One of the favorites this to do to prepare for the King of Festivals is to put together a garden and a large tent to read stories every night. This year, our 5-year-old and I painted a garden full of simple roses and of course, we included a painted river as well!

Here is a tutorial for the roses.

3D Artistic Representation to Celebrate Ridván, the King of Festivals!

IMG_9522IMG_9523IMG_9519

One of our favorite activities to do during Ridvan is to make a small-scale representation of the garden of Ridvan usually in playdough. So for this Ridvan, I’m happy to share a 3D artistic representation coloring activity as a gift to children and families to celebrate the King of Festivals!

Idea-Memorization of Quotes for Little Ones

IMG_4279Sitting down for a class with young ones sometimes is difficult. So I came up with this idea to help our then, two years old boy memorize and understand Sacred Writings and Prayers.

It is so easy, just hang two clip boards on the wall, and print out the PDF on this page. every morning and night have your little one repeat after you word by word the Prayer or the Quote. Then explain it in very simple terms.

Download the PDF: HERE!

Hope this helps!

IMG_3461 (1).JPG

Hello delightful people! As we close the celebrations for Ridván, it is time to start thinking about the Declaration of The Báb.

When our son was two years old we made this fun activity and simple activity. A “persian rug” out of paper. We enjoyed stories and a cup of tea in celebration of the Holy Day!

Idea- A Play-Dough Activity for Ridván!

IMG_3468

When children are involved in creating something they learn more, specially when is an activity they enjoy. Create an artistic representation of the Garden of Ridvan using play-dough with your children and meanwhile you do so, you can listen to songs about the King of Festivals, or you can tell them the story of those heavenly days! Great activity for 2 years old and up!

IMG_3386.JPG

Happy Ridván to all of you delightful people!

Every year we pitch a tent and create a garden in our living room to celebrate Ridvan. There we read stories about those twelve precious days Bahá’u’lláh spent in the garden.

This year we did the flowers from coffee filters. So much fun! This is an activity that my family looks forward every year. Perfect for 4yo children and up. Enjoy the tutorial bellow! What other ideas for garden recreation you have? I would love to see your pictures!

Tutorial – A Painted Garden for Ridván!

IMG_3465 (1)

Last year (2016) to celebrate Ridván we painted our garden! Just a roll of paper and a watercolor set. Tape the paper to the wall and have your children paint flowers until their hearts are content. Our oldest who was 3 years old at the time had a blast! Take care to not paint your walls accidentally through the paper. This space will later serve a place to read stories and learn about the importance of Ridván!

Craft supplies we used:
